Top Awards for Coasts of Cyprus

The list of the best coasts of Europe includes two Cyprus beaches at once. One of them, in the Kouklia district, near Paphos, has been receiving an honorary award for the second year in a row. The other – in Limassol – was awarded this award for the first time. More than 50 of the most popular beaches in Western Europe took part in the competition. The award ceremony was held on May 13 in a medieval castle in the Kouklia area and was organized in collaboration with the Center for the Study of the Quality of Coastal Zones. Awards received seven of the best European beaches. The award was established in 2009, which, however, does not make it less significant.
