Andrea Harpa, CFO in Peyia Municipality and responsible for managing Coral Bay Beach, said that this year, most of the beach is under city administration. This, in turn, is an innovation, since it allows you to have employees working on an ongoing basis and there was no need to take measures to reduce staff. There are also kiosks that serve bathers, while the city attracts most of its income from the beach itself. As local authorities, said Ms. Harpa, we are still satisfied with the income and hope for even more. The beach has the “Blue Flag”, which is a symbol of quality and is awarded on the basis of strict criteria to the organizers of the beaches, administrators of municipalities, hoteliers and others. Ms. Harpa also added that in the summer, Peyi Municipality plans to organize free beach activities.
