Two new park areas in Paphos and Polis

In the near future, in Paphos and Polis, the authorities will create one linear park each. This timely decision was made after the revision of plans for urban development.

Linear park is an open non-uniform park of big extent. As expected, these parks will greatly enrich the tourist and social infrastructure of the region and decorate these two cities. So in Paphos, the park will stretch from the Anavargos district (the upper part of the city) to the coastal zone of Kato Paphos. In addition to the park itself, the territory along the Chrysochous riverbed will be improved in Polis. This project, developed as part of the Natura 2000 nature conservation program, will, as the authorities hope, greatly increase the flow of tourists to the region and at the same time protect the river bed.
